Bali, Indonesia, December 2012 – Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali has been awarded the award for Indonesia Leading Luxury Resort 2012/2013 by Indonesia Travel and Tourism Foundation (ITTA).
The annual award serves to recognise “the best” across all sectors of Indonesia’s travel and tourism industry.
The award ceremony was held at Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan on 10 December 2012, where 500 high profile members of the hospitality, travel and tourism community attended the gala event.
The award was collected by Jamal Hussain, General Manager and Assistant Vice President, Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali. “It is an honour and a great achievement to receive this accolade, especially in Bali where the most stunning villas can be found. It is a testament to our brand and commitment to delivering authentic experiences and service excellence in hospitality. This award would not be possible without the dedication of our associates.”
The judging and selection process involves for steps starting with ITTA initial screening, followed by the Industry online voting, then by an independent Board of Advisors, comprising of prominent tourism and business personalities and lastly validation by ITTA Knowledge and research Partner Binus Business School.
ITTA Foundation is a non-governmental established in early 2010. The organisation’s main objectives are to facilitate and contribute in the better Indonesia tourism. This is done by highly supporting government-wide tourism development programs as well as collaborating with the tourism private entities to support the cause.
