beachwalk, Kuta – Friday, 31st May 2013, the second of beachwalk’s 2013 series of fashion show was presented on the Fountain Stage, enjoyed by two hundred VIP invitees and shoppers in the mall. This brand new retail and lifestyle hub houses 200 shops, of which the majorityre presents international as well as Bali based popular fashion brands. This time beachwalk partnered up with Fashion TV Indonesia for official media partner and PT. Mitra Adiperkasa(MAP) that proudly presented the new arrival collections from Nautica, Lacoste, Swatch and New Look.

The title of this May fashion show was “The Season of Loveliness”, inspired by spring season which is identical to blooming flowers, bright colors, soft sunshine and all the loveliness of nature we all love in spring time. Nautica was selected as the opening sequence that presented its Spring and Summer 2013 collection, drawing inspiration from various island life and beach resorts, with some influence extending all the way to European vacation towns. The vibrant colors and prints that are indigenous to these isle getaways are reflected throughout the collection and incorporated into the classic, performance-driven style that is Nautica.

Following the opening, Lacoste took on the runway with Men’s Collection: ‘Nautical Summer’ showcasing spring and summer designs of neutral tints, lapped by a yachting style, upon which reinvention perpetually rolls out ; ‘Azur Sea Island’- Clad in the balmy softness of cotton gabardine shorts, opening windows onto blue stripes flapping like a loose sail, while theWomen’s Collection : ‘Under The Sun’flaunts carefreeness in impeccable shorts and lemon-colored top; and ‘Indigo Summer’that shined out like uplifting tunes and went striping it with primrose yellow on crepe as well as cotton nautical white dresses composed with indigo.

The latest collection from Swatch anticipates spring with sunshine, fresh colours and inventive design. Traditions are revived with exciting new models from across the spectrum of Swatch families: there are new Originals, Irony, Skin and Touch timekeepers in light-hearted, energetic, eye-catching versions. Signature materials take on new life as stainless steel, aluminium, silicone, leather and a broad range of fabrics combine to invigorate the new collection. New Look presented new arrival collection: ‘Pleasantville’ that takes you on a nostalgic journey back to the 50s where femininity was celebrated and glamour coveted. Waists were cinched, skirts were full and lips suitably scarlet; ‘Mexican Trail’ brings with it a brighter colour palette, with neon, Aztec and other high summer prints. Embellishment adds a glamorous edge to this casual theme with statement necklaces, embossed jewellery ; and the final collection ‘Pagan Tapestry’ which still nods the western look, but in a more subtle way. Different texture are a key element for this theme, with lace, crochet and tapestry print layering over the soft colour of dusty pink, blues and authentic denim.

The evening continued with an After Show Pool Party at the newly opened Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort where VIP invitees enjoyed a night under the sky, wined and dined by the Sheraton’s culinary team.
