with Pio Cesare Wine Dinners on 17 May and 19 May 2012

Bali, Indonesia, 13 April 2012 – Four Seasons Resorts Bali is proud to present two exclusive dining occasions on Thursday,

17 May 2012 at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and Saturday,

19 May 2012 at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan,

with one of the most prestigious wine estates of the Italian province of Piedmont in the northwestern corner of the country, Pio Cesare.

The epicurean evening at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay will begin with a sunset cocktail reception,

accompanied with music of the Rindik players, at the resorts lower poolside deck from 6.30pm to 7.00pm

while the sumptuous multi-course wine-paired dinner follows after at the charming Taman Wantilan restaurant,

within the mesmerizing ambience above the shores of Jimbaran Bay.

Italian Chef Samuele Baudoino will present an exquisite five-course degustation menu including smoked duck breast,

poached lobster and roasted loin of lamb, which will be complimented by an inviting and plush pairing of Pio Cesare wines.

At Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, the evening will commence with cocktails and canapés,

accompanied with music of the Rindik players, at the quaint Lily Pond from 7pm to 7.30pm,

after which a delectable and unique dinner paired

with Pio Cesare Wines follows at the picturesque Ayung Terrace above the lush jungle gorges on the Sayan Ridge,

with premium and exotic Indonesian cuisine of bebek (steamed minced duck wrapped in banana leaf),

sop kepiting (root spice crab soup) and kambing bumbu rujak (grilled lamb chops),

prepared with precision by Executive Chef Denny Frederick.

Guests’ dining experience will be elevated with a Keroncong music performance.

Wines featured at all three events will include Gavi DOCG ‘09,

Piodelei Chardonnay ‘09, Barbera D’Alba Fides ‘08,

Vino Roso Barbaresco ‘07 with a highlight of Barolo Ornato ‘05 with dessert, Moscato D’Asti 09.

Pio Cesare’s owner, Mr Pio Boffa, the great grandson of Cesare Pio who founded the winery in 1881,

will be present during the dinners, to introduce his family-owned vineyard estate and winery

which has become recognized the world over for its dedication to excellence in the art of Italian winemaking.

Cesare Pio is known to be one of the very first wine producers to believe in the great potential and quality of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and in the other great wines of Piemonte.

In the later part of the 1800s, he was among the very first winemakers to produce

these wines with a philosophy that was dedicated to the terroir and the strictest quality of the wine.

For five generations, the Pio Cesare family has been producing traditional Piemontese wines in its ancient cellars,

located in the centre of the town of Alba. Located in the highly rated and better exposed areas,

Pio Cesare owns more than 50 hectares (130 acres) of vineyards.
